Today, we had a brief chat with rave of the moment Junior Pope and here is what he had to say.

“Well, the word success comes with excitement. From the kickoff date till the victory day, I stood patriotically behind the Super Eagles and as such I feel so so good with myself for believing in them and for finally winning the trophy.”

He also had kind words for the national team’s coach.

Stephen Keshi made a wonderful choice of players, players who want to write their names on the history books. So for me, their performance from the onset wasn’t encouraging but like a car that just started, their engine raved to gear 5 towards the end of the competition. So in all, their performance is everything to write home about,” he told Delia Innoma (Live Online With Delia).
