After the thunderous victory posted by the Nigerian nation team, jubilation seems to have taken over the once downcast nation. Not left out in the celebration is Nollywood actor Emeka Duru, who confided in Nollywoodgossip that he believed in the team from the onset, even when the rest of Nigerians were whipping them.

“My dear I feel great and I believed in the team from the beginning of the time. I know they will go places but never knew they will win the Cup. I am so so happy and I thank the almighty God for giving us this day. Up Nigeria, Up Eagles,” jubilant Duru told Delia Innoma (Live Online With Delia).

Not done yet, he said:

“Since 1994 I have not seen any Nigerian team play like this. They played like a team with drive and motivation. This is the first time I’m seeing a Nigerian team play together in 19 years. I’m proud of the team. I’m proud of Keshi.”

And on his message to the national team’s coach, he said:

“To coach Keshi I say the best is yet to come, just do your thing and God will reward you. You have shown that a Nigerian coach can do it.”
