The news fast spreading now in the media is that live-wire pop act Iyanya Mbuk and his manager Franklin Ubi are allegedly wanted by the Nigerian Police in Port Harcourt,  Rivers State, for scamming veteran movie producer Opa Williams.

According to the story making rounds and titled ‘kukere master defrauds popular show organizer Opa Williams of N1.7m’, the singer was accused of obtaining the money from Williams as payment for 2 shows and he never showed up.

The shows were listed as the Benin and Port Harcourt legs of the popular show ‘A Nite of a Thousand Laughs’.

To get to the root of the matter, Nollywoodgossip contacted Iyanya’s people and Frank, his manager, told Delia Innoma (Live Online With Delia) the following:

“That’s not true. Police was never involved. We didn’t attend his show, so he requested refund and we paid. That’s all.”

Well…you’ve heard from the sources mouth. Case close.
