Dame Patience Jonathan returning to Nigeria today

Nigeria’s first lady Dame Patience Jonathan will be arriving Nigeria from Germany today, according to Leadership Newspapers.

The paper reported that Mrs. Jonathan has been discharged from the German hospital that she was receiving treatment at.

They said that the ailing first lady demanded to be discharged, and the hospital accepted her request, though she was yet to fully recuperate. She reportedly left the hospital around 11am yesterday and was taken straight to an undisclosed location by senior authorities of the Nigerian embassy in Germany.

And that necessary arrangements have been put in place to receive the first lady at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 2pm today by top government officials.

Some wives of state governors, female politicians and activists are now in Abuja to give the first lady a rousing welcome.
