Sometime last year, a girl named Zeina Cisse from South Africa contacted Nollywoodgossip with the claim that she was pregnant for popular Ghanaian actor Majid Michel. A few months later, the lady sent us photo of what she claimed was her new baby fathered by the talented actor.
The married actor has repeatedly denied the allegations.
Just recently, about a year since the story first broke out, new allegations emerged in the media that Majid may have in fact really fathered a child outside wedlock.
To truly and finally get to the root of the matter, we spoke with Majid and his wife. Below is what they told Delia Innoma (Live Online With Delia).
“Delia, the girl in question I don’t know her. I have never met such a face before. It’s even my wife who informed me of the news of a woman who claimed to be carrying my baby.
“I was in Nigeria at the time when she called me laughing. She said to me, ‘you can’t believe what I am reading now, a lady whose name is Zara from South Africa or something claims you got her pregnant,’ and then she said, ‘if she is sure, why is she not coming over to the house, why heading to the press?’
“I was surprised, but then I know my wife knows me. We just laughed over it, because such cheap lies are not strange in the industry.
“Once again, I don’t know that person, neither have I met such face before. I’m a star so taking pictures with fans is not a strange thing.”
After speaking with Majid, we also spoke with his wife who supported her husband’s version of the story.
And we have to tell you that Majid has one of the best and loving wives in this world. What a lucky man!
Now we hope the couple would be left alone to enjoy their marriage.
