Could you please tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m Jessica Owan. I’m from Cross River State. I attended Amobai Girls Secondary School, Anambra State, and later University of Calabar. I like watching movies, making friends and dancing. I dislike gossiping people who are heartless and look down on others. My favourite colors are white, orange, and pink. I am crazy about vacations. My dreams and aspirations are to be successful and famous.
What are you working on at the moment?
Well I’m working on a big project that will storm Nollywood and the world soonest.
How long have you being acting?
I started acting in 2010. A friend of mine saw my potential and encouraged me to join the industry. And I’m also a trained thespian. It’s been a lifelong dream to act, having grown up when Nollywood and Bollywood movies were just becoming popular.
Your movies?
Brave mind, Sins of the Past, War in the Palace, Tears in the Kingdom, Judas Game, Royal Wealth, Royal Grace, Bloody Carnival, The Enemy I See, Onye Army, Not my Queen, The Lamb, and a host of others.
Role Models?
My role models are Genevieve Nnaji and Mercy Johnson.
What are the challenges you face as an actress?
Competition for roles is the major challenge, for there are a lot of great actors but very few good roles. I have acted with Mercy Johnson, Frank Artus, Nkem Owoh, Livinus Nnochiri, Van Vicker, Chinyere Wilfred, and many more.
What was your best acting experience?
My best acting experience was on the set of Brave Mind. And it was because my role model Mercy Johnson acted in the movie and she was a source of inspiration to me.
Your advice to the up-and-coming artists?
My advice to them is nothing but they should keep their heads straight as well as their games tight, they should believe in themselves because the sky is their starting point.
Nollywoodgossip wishes you the best.
Thanks and God bless you as you do your good works.
