  • Nollywood has perfected plans to keep the name of late Igbo leader Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu alive in the minds of entertainment and sports lovers.
  •  Today, one of the organizers, Nollywood actor, Charles Abazie, spoke with Nollywoodgossip on the event which is approaching soon.

By Joy Ubeku (Inside Nollywood With Joy).

What is the event all about?

It is football event and music show put together. It will be like a carnival. The big event is on August 18th 2012. It was the unveiling of the trophy that was done last week Saturday. The press conference was done a week ago and the Emeka Ojukwu award night is this month. It’ll be held at the Sheraton hotel. The event is not just for the Igbo’s. The purpose is to keep Ojukwu‘s name alive, because most of our Igbo leaders, like Nnamdi Azikiwe, etc., have almost been forgotten.

We’re all looking forward to the event.

you mean Charles couldn't wear an african attire, he has no respect for his culture, as Joy Ubeku said in church other day, too much white man culture ruined our african culture.
