  • Nollywoodgossip ran into him and used the opportunity to catch up with the latest about him.

Tell us about your recent movie.

Black Widow, I co-wrote and co-produced it.

Who featured in it?

Myself, Diamond Sampong, and Tyler Scott.

The storyline.

It’s a whodunit crime drama about an immigrant lady who is being questioned over the murder of her husband. What starts off as a routine informal questioning turns up skeletons that have been hidden for so long. I play Seyi, one of the detectives who questions Fanta the widow.

Was Seyi a challenging role?

Very challenging! There was a lot of internalization involved. Most of my acting I tried to keep on the inside to give my character psychological depth. It was a unique experience.

Is this the first time you’re working behind the camera?

Yes it is. The interesting thing is that I worked on both sides of the camera, which meant I had to multitask a lot and still remain psychologically sound to play my role. I learnt a lot.

So tell us, which is more challenging, producing or acting?

Producing by far. One has to think of time and money. Keeping and adherence to a budget is crucial. Personnel management is also a major factor as well. One thinks about everything and everyone. Daunting I tell you.

Will the film show in cinemas?

Of course, it will show in cinemas first.

Nollywoodgossip wishes you the best.

Thanks so much.
