The video of the song Omo Naija by France based singer Lili Saint is finally out and Nollywoodgossip has it.
The video, which features special effects and animations, was directed by multi-talented Alex O, who also featured in it.
Speaking to Delia Innoma (Live Online With Delia) on the production of the video, Alex O, who is married to Nollywood queen, Oby Edozieh, says:
“The major challenge is the fact that all the shots were done on green and blue screen. When the colors are keyed out, you are left with a flat and empty background. I had to do a lot of CGI (computer generated Images) work.”
Speaking further, he says:
“I needed to create everything in the background, including the room where he was sitting, the green furniture, the Plasma screen with the pictures changing, the rain splashing outside the window and the lightning flashes.
“Putting together the stage, with the lights and the crowd in the dark audience area, was also not an easy task.
“For the crowd, I had to work with only five people, take so many shots of them in different clothes and from different camera angles. 20 shots of 5 people were enough to make up a concert audience crowd.
“The different shots had to be synchronized to have a common dance Movement, and get everybody in the scene to be in sync. Each group shot was re-sized and placed in the appropriate 3D spaces.
“The hall where the pictures were hanging on the columns, as the virtual camera zooms in and out past the framed pictures was also challenging. I needed to create the walls and the columns and place them in the spaces that will make them react appropriately towards the virtual camera zooms.
“Overall, I like the song and what it is talking about. I like the artiste too. He is a hard working guy. There are more videos coming up soon.”
