Congratulations to the young man, but this is yet another chapter of the entertainment madness sweeping the world. How does one justify the fact that millions of breadwinners work for minimum wage, while we choose to shower hundreds of child and adult entertainers with millions of dollars. Mankind has gone mad!

The Western World has certainly gone mad! Instead of promoting education and sensible living to the fullest, we have engaged in embracing capitalism at the lowest level, and Africans in the Motherland and beyond are being used in the process. Africans represent about 12% of the population in the United States; nevertheless, it is fair to say Africans (Blacks) are over represented in music and other forms of entertainment. Many even habitually disrespect women and girls, but they do make a lot of money…

…The same nonsense happens in Jamaica. Some promote the use of drugs advocate disrespect for women and girls and homosexuals. Music is should be about entertainment, spiritual connection and communal spirit, but it has become big business, and many young people do get carried away.

Indulgence in music and other forms of entertainment, along with sex, particularly promiscuity have enormously contributed to breakdown of the social order in many societies.

Karl give the young lad a break, hope u have listened to his music, did he portray any of such things in his songs?

    • Karl Makinda May 30, 2012 at 11:45 am - Reply

Aniema Akpabio : This is not an attack on the youngster; it is a criticism of the Western indulgence in using children in the commercialization of music and other aspects of culture. I suppose you are not aware of the negative impact of music and sports on children in the Americas and beyond. Furthermore, it seems as if you did not notice my congratulatory remark.
