How did the JIF launching go?

The launch went very well. It was a 2-hour cocktail launch which started at 6pm. Guests and celebrities were hosted on the sound city orange carpet from 6pm to 8pm. People were interviewed on their views on the event and so on. The Mcs were Nana Aba Anamoah (tv3) presenter in Ghana and Okey Bakassi of Nigeria. It was a night of fun having these two hosts at the launch. My celebrity friends and family were there to support me, even though when the food and drinks started flowing in more and more, people had started forgetting why they were at the event, lol.

What is your joy about the launching?

I’m glad that I had a successful launch, because it’s been long overdue. Kidney diseases are not something we need to joke about in our society today. People smoke every day. We have people with issues of diabetics and high blood pressure, which when not controlled or detected on time can lead to kidney cancer. We have people working in fitting shops that are so easily prone to getting kidney cancer due to the chemical substances they inhale from fixing car brakes, clutches etc. I am glad I can make an impact in our lives during the Christmas period, which is a time of sharing and giving.

Was the turnout as expected?

Yes, I had a huge turnout, friends, family, fans, even uninvited, and more.

Now that JIf is finally launched, what is your message to the people?

I want to thank everybody who is supporting this cause. I would encourage everybody to help me in spreading the message. Let’s make the public know the causes, preventive methods and so on about kidney cancer and other related diseases. Let’s all join in this good cause and save lives. I have an awareness musical video out this New Year and I would like people to help spread it. I have musicians singing in various languages; Hausa, Twi, Ewe, Yoruba, Igbo, French, and so on.

How did you spend your Christmas?

Christmas day was spent with the family and later on in the evening, we all attended the Ghana movie awards, which was a fun event.

What do you wish your friends and fans this season?

I wish all my friends and fans this 2012 all their heart desires. May this year be filled with great surprises in your lives and may we all move on through 2012 from glory to glory.

Nollywoodgossip wishes you the best.

Thanks for having me.
