Tell us about yourself.

My name is Kenneth Ucheoma the owner of Soft Touch Movies. I’m from Imo State, born into a family of 5 – two girls and three boys. I’m the last born of the family. I attended both primary and secondary schools in Port Harcourt.

How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the industry for 9 to 10 years now.

How many movies have you produced?

I have produced 4 movies namely; Malaysia Runs, Aki na PawPaw, Tatoo Girls, The Queen Must Die.

Tell us more about Tattoo Girls.

Tattoo Girls is all about how girls in Thailand struggle and compete to marry rich foreign men. They do whatever they can to corner the wealthy men and at the end leave the men penniless.

What are the challenges you face generally?

God is in control of my challenges (laughs).

What other business do you do?

I’m into a lot of businesses, like buildings, tiles, ladies wears, shoes, bags, in fact, I do a  lot of export and import business.

What are you working on?

I’m working on a project called MY Journey To Thailand.

When are you coming back home?

I’ll be home soon and people will see a lot of improvement in any project that I’m involved in. And with God on my side, I will get to where I want to be.

What do you think of the changes in Nollywood?

I’m happy for the changes in the industry and I pray that God will lead us to the top. There are lots of challenges on the way, but the major thing is that there is always room for improvement. We all in the industry need to put our hands on the deck for the overall good of the industry.

Are you married or seeing someone?

(Laughing) I’m fully single and not seeing anyone now, lol.

What made you leave the country and Nollywood in the first place?

Hmmm…leaving the country, I saw a big opportunity outside that can improve me overall in life and I went for it. But I will soon be back to do what I love doing.

What are the reasons behind this new project?

It’s about my journey to Asia and how Nigerians are being treated in Thailand and in other places around the globe. And all these are happening because of the system we have back at home. If the people in Government can change their ways and think more about the citizens, things will be a little better for all.

Anything else we haven’t asked?

You have asked all. I say a big thanks to Nollywoodgossip for the good work you guys are doing, God bless you all. Thanks.

Nollywoodgossip wishes you the best.

Thanks very much for having me.
