The mirror boy premiere
On Friday 5th August 2011 the much awaited premiere of the movie ‘The Mirror Boy’ took place at the Silverbird Galleria and Nollywoodgossip was there live.
The event which started on a high note was almost marred when, as at 10pm, top Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji – the lead star in the movie – hadn’t turned up (for an event that started around 4:30pm).
Disappointed fans which were beginning to grumble were brought back to life by the sudden arrival of Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde who brought star appeal to the event. Other stars that graced the occasion include Segun Arinze, Ay, Julius Agwu, Fatima Jabbe, Omoni Oboli and Gbenga Adeyinka.
People later learned (much after the event) that Genevieve Nnaji was absent due to an engagement in the United States, and this is particularly disturbing as organizers usually check dates and schedules before fixing events.
